Bily the Kid is said to have murdered at least 21 people was sentenced to hang for the 1878 murder of a sheriff. he escaped and was killed by Sheriff Pat Garrett on July 14, 1881, Tintype photos made a mirror image so the auctioned photo shows what seems to be a left-handed man, (he wasn't),The picture was given to Dan Dedrick by Billy and has been in Dedrick's family ever sice. the new owner,William Koch is a member of a well-known family of billionaires who made money from oil and gas,
